About Franciscan Mentors

Franciscan Mentors cultivates the practice of Franciscan values including collaboration, peace-making, and care for creation through programs designed to offer opportunities for sharing wisdom and supporting one another in this counter-cultural path.

We are Franciscans working together to offer an annual conference to support those who are mentoring the next generation of Franciscans.

Stemming back to the lives of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, the Franciscan movement has a long tradition of collaborative ministry between various groups within the Franciscan family.  Franciscan Mentors offers wide-ranging professional development opportunities for those in positions mentoring others in the Franciscan life.

The annual conference invites vowed religious, secular Franciscans, associates, affiliates, cojourners, companions, high school and university faculty/staff, volunteer program staff, and those with a Franciscan heart to engage in practical implementation of specific Franciscan topics.

Build relationships in a supportive environment and ground yourself in the Franciscan Tradition.

The conference is open to those who mentor:

  • Franciscan vowed religious

  • Secular Franciscans

  • Associates, affiliates, cojourners, companions

  • High school or university students

  • Volunteers in Franciscan-based service programs

  • Those with a Franciscan heart
